We participated in this year’s Science Festival! In the Kruno Krstić Primary School through games and fun workshop we had education pupil why the sea is important and how to keep it healthy, with the support of teachers. This year’s theme of the festival is Time, so we decided to touch the theme of litter in the sea and how with time it changes form and becomes even more dangerous when we can’t see it – in the form of microplastics.
We demonstrated to the pupils why we can find plastic when we look at the seabed sediment and marine organisms under microscope and how weather and weather conditions affect litter in the sea. We have talked about how to properly separate waste. We concluded the day with loads of new knowledge and with an important message: we all need to keep our seas clean together!
