Biodiversity of Kornati archipelago (2007 – 2008)

20000 Leagues, in 2007 and 2008, was a partner of the Argonauta NGO from Murter in the Kornati archipelago research. Research has made a significant contribution to knowledge of biodiversity of species and habitats of this important marine protected area.

Mapping of gorgonians in the North and Middle Adriatic (2008 – 2009)

The mapping project of habitats of gorgonians has mapped areas of white, yellow and red gorgonia during 2008 and 2009. The mapping was carried out on the Kornati archipelago and in the area of Rogoznica in the middle Adriatic, and around the island of Rab, Prvic and Goli otok in the northern Adriatic.

Biospeleological research on island Dugi otok (2009 and 2011)

In the bay of Brninjšćica on the island of Dugi otok, special for its biological and geological features, biospeleological research was conducted in 2009 and 2011.

Monitoring of Neptun seagrass (Posidonia oceanica) meadows in
Nature Park Telašćica (2009 – 2011)

In cooperation with the Public Institution “Nature Park Telašćica”, a monitoring program of the Posidonia oceanica meadows, an important infralitoral habitat, was carried out during 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Inventarization of Novigrad Sea (2010)

20000 Leagues was a partner to the Biology Student Association – BIUS in 2010 in the project of inventorization of macrozoobenthos and mapping of marine habitats in the Novigrad Sea.

Biospeleological research on island of Zlarin (2010)

Biospeleological research was carried out in 2010 on a submerged speleo-object on the uninhabited island of Drvenik near the island of Zlarin.
