Educational project focused on education on marine litter and the danger that marine plastics and microplastics present to the marine environment and biodiversity. The educational workshop was conducted with primary school pupils of Primary School Mokošica, and in Lapad bay, along with diving center Blue Planet, we organized an underwater clean-up action. Project was supported by the City of Dubrovnik.
"Think Blue" project is NGO capacity strengthening project funded from EU funds in partnership with Biology Student Association - BIUS. Project activities included educating the island population on sustainable development on the islands, proper management of marine resources, raising awareness of protected and endangered marine species and the marine ecosystem as a whole. Also, our members through the project have undergone adequate training for the implementation and writing of EU projects, as well as the development of educational programs for different target groups, exchange of ideas and knowledge between NGOs. As part of the project, a number of educational workshops were organized for elementary school pupils in Ugljan. Also, the students themselves, as well as members of the local population, participated in underwater and beach cleaning actions. "Youth and Natura 2000" is an educational - research project within which maping of Natura 2000 area "Southeast part of the island of Molat" was carried out, and an underwater clean-up action was undertaken with the local population. Educational segment of the project included education of uni students and high school students from Zadar on Natura 2000 marine habitats and species.
