Clean Up the World Zadar 2017.

As a part of the Clean Up the World Day that is happening around the world on the 15th of September, we held the underwater clean-up action on Puntamika beach in Zadar. Accompanied with good weather and a few hard working divers and citizens, we removed a noticeable amount of litter from the marine environment. We also collected larger parts of litter on the beach.

The litter on the beach we did not manage to collect than was collected a few weeks later in a beach clean up action on which students from Marine Group of Biology Student Association – BIUS joined us. We also did a monitoring of that litter, separating waste by type and size and filling in the sheet forms.
